Goldie Mental Health

We’re Goldie, your therapist abroad.

No matter where life takes you, your mental well-being should always come first. At Goldie, we specialize in supporting anyone navigating life abroad as an expat, a student, or an english speaker seeking support away from home. We understand that finding quality care can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face it alone.

Our team of licensed mental health therapists provides compassionate, culturally sensitive therapy - helping you navigate life’s challenges and thrive wherever you are in the world.

About us

Goldie was founded on a simple belief: mental health care should be accessible to everyone, everywhere. No matter where you are in the world, support should be within reach.

Our team of licensed therapists specializes in a wide range of concerns, including:

Anxiety, depression, burnout, OCD, personality disorders, ADHD, self‑esteem, relationship challenges, co‑dependency and grief.

No matter what you are going through, you don’t have to go through it alone. We’d love to chat with you.

    Dr. Mara Czegel, PhD.

    CO-FOUNDER + THERAPIST

Specialties: Anxiety, Trauma, Personality Disorders, Couples Therapy, OCD, Somatic Therapy, ADHD, Internal Family Systems

Before co-founding Goldie, Mara built and scaled Ember Psychotherapy Collective, a boutique mental health practice based in the US. Since relocating abroad, she has become passionate about developing accessible, high-quality mental health care for people - no matter where in the world they live.

Her therapy work is grounded in academia and research: Prior to becoming a therapist, Mara spent over a decade as a researcher at Harvard Medical School, the University of Pennsylvania in the US, and as a Fulbright Scholar in Budapest, Hungary where she studied psychotherapeutic interventions for anxiety and borderline personality disorder.

At Goldie, Mara blends scientific rigor with lived empathy - building a therapeutic space that’s globally minded, deeply informed, and emotionally attuned.

At Goldie, Demi focuses on building thoughtful systems that allow therapists to do their best work and clients to feel seen, supported, and empowered.
